Fine Arts Center – Theater and Dance Renovations: 51��Ƶ, Greater Cincinnati Region

An $14.8M+ renovation of performing arts facilities, including the Corbett Theatre, within the University’s Fine Arts Center is nearing completion. Structural and building system improvements to the 47-year old facility will create vibrant, modern teaching studios for theater and dance, and welcome patrons with a warm and inviting Stauss Black Box Theatre lobby, patron box office and upgraded finishes and seating in the Corbett Theatre.

Located in the heart of campus, the Fine Arts Center is the home of 51��Ƶ’s School of the Arts (SOTA), encompassing teaching studios for performing and fine arts, three theatres including the Corbett Theatre, Rosemary Stauss Black Box, and Greaves Concert Hall, skylit art studios and two galleries. SOTA is the largest and most respected fine and performing arts collegiate program in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, with more than 700 students enrolled across 30 degree programs.

SOTA is a critical contributor to Northern Kentucky’s arts ecosystem, boasting partnerships with the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, The Carnegie, The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, and alumni-founded Pones Dance Company. SOTA hosts more than 120 public performances and gallery exhibitions each year, welcoming at least 20,000 patrons to experience the best that Kentucky has to offer.

The renovation will also provide improvements to facilities for design, technology and production, theater dressing rooms, and technical systems in the Corbett Theatre. Naming opportunities are available.
